A Taste of the Yucatán at Heritage Month, Akin Community Center

As part of Heritage Month, we were honored to join the Akin Community Center and share a piece of who we are with the community.

Events like this remind us that what we do goes beyond food business. It’s about showing up, being present, and creating space for people to experience something new.

In high-volume settings like this, we’ve developed a service approach that allows us to prepare and serve marquesitas efficiently while keeping the experience intact. Through this, we served around 100 marquesitas and aguas frescas during the event.

Being part of this event meant contributing in a small way to a larger mission. Supporting our community and sharing a taste of our culture in a way that feels accessible and welcoming.

We’re grateful to Samuel Chesneau and the Akin Community Center for creating opportunities like this, where small businesses can connect and give back.

If you’d like to support the work they do, donations help ensure families have access to the resources, care, and community they need to thrive.

At Apapacho Mexican Treats, we believe food brings people together. Get a closer look at the event.
